Tanım: Projenin kuramsal kapsamı Lazca’da eylemlere eklenen tematik eklerin dağılımını incelemek ve buradan hareketle Lazca’daki eylem sınıflarını belirlemektir. Bu amaçla Lazca’nın beş ana diyalektine bakılacaktır: Pazar, Ardeşen, Fındıklı, Arhavi ve Hopa.  Bu diyalektlerden toplanan veri kuramsal açıdan başlıca Filmore (1970) ve bu çalışmayı temel alan Levin ve Rappaport-Hovav (1991)’da öngörülen eylem sınıflarını belirleme ölçütleri kapsamında incelenecektir.

  • Araştırmacı,Cevap Seti Programlama Kullanarak Türk Dillerinin Evrim Tarihini Çıkarsama. (2007-2009). TÜBİTAK. Proje yürütücüsü: Esra Erdem (Sabancı Üniversitesi). Tanım: Önerilen projenin amaçlarından biri projede geliştirilecek olan filogenetik sistemi kullanarak Türk dillerinin evrimsel tarihini yeniden inşa etmektir. bu konudaki en alakalı çalışmalar, Türk dillerinin coğrafi veya fonolojik ilkelere göre tasnifi ile ilgilidir; ancak, dillerin her bir kritere göre değerlendirilmesi her zaman makul sonuçlar vermemiştir. Bu çalışmada fonolojik, sözcüksel, morfolojik, coğrafi, zamansal bilgiler toplanıp derlenecek ve Türk dillerinin evrim tarihi ilk kez hesaplamalı yöntemlerle ve aynı zamanda çeşitli kriterler dikkate alınarak derinlemesine incelenecektir. . Böylelikle Türk dilleri, evrimsel tarih çıkarımı açısından diğer dil aileleri için kullanılan ölçütlere göre incelenecek ve literatürde yerini alacaktır.

(2007-2008). Boğaziçi University Research Fund. Tanım: Bu projenin amacı, Rize’nin Pazar ve Ardeşen ilçelerinde konuşulan Lazca’daki durum ve uyum eklerinin biçimbirimsel ve sözdizimsel özelliklerini tipolojik ve kuramsal açıdan ele almak ve bu dilin genel sözdizimsel özelliklerinin bir dökümantasyonunu yapmaktır. Bu çalışmayla, ana dili Lazca olan kişilerden toplanacak sözlü verilerden hareketle durum ve uyum eklerinin özellikleri incelenecek ve üretici dilbilim kuramı çerçevesinde değerlendirilecektir.
