Description:

The Department of Linguistics, at Boğaziçi University, invites applications from Turkish nationals for a Full Professor position. Applicants are expected to have research and teaching experience in theoretical linguistics and first language acquisition of Turkish focusing on its morphological, syntactic and semantic aspects and to complement the department in both teaching and research.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach required and elective linguistics courses at the undergraduate, MA, and PhD degree levels, with a minimum of two courses per term. Further responsibilities include thesis supervision at the undergraduate, MA, and PhD levels, as well as administrative duties. Boğaziçi University is committed to excellence in teaching and research, and applicants should have a teaching and recent publication record commensurate with these standards.

Requirements:
Applicants must hold a PhD degree and associate professorship in linguistics. They must have a minimum of 6 publications in SSCI/AHCI indexed journals in addition to a minimum of 5 book chapters published by internationally recognized publishers. Experience as the principal investigator in funded research is a plus.
